WHAT IS YOUR RETURN POLICY?

We guarantee your satisfaction at APMEX. We provide all our customers with a refund, return and/or exchange policy on everything we sell including all bullion and certified coins. This right is limited to seven (7) days from the date on which the customer receives their items. The refund, return and/or exchange policy only applies to customers who notify our Customer Service Department by live chat, email at [email protected], or by telephone at (800) 375-9006 during normal business hours within seven (7) days from the date on which the customer receives their item and keeps the item in its original packaging. The Customer Service Department will give you instructions on how to return your items and, at that time, you will be given a Return Authorization Number. All Bitcoin or Bitcoin Cash refunds are issued through BitPay at the USD rate at the time the refund is processed. APMEX is not responsible for any change in the Bitcoin exchange rate at the time of refund. Refunds for returns are not processed until after the returned item(s) has been received and verified.

Shipping and handling charges are non-refundable. For returns, you must carefully package the product and you are responsible for the cost of return shipping. APMEX reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to reject any return that does not comply with these requirements.

We want our customers to be pleased with their purchases. If for any reason you have a problem, please feel free to call our offices and discuss it with us. We will always do our best to accommodate you. APMEX reserves the right to charge a restocking fee of $50 or 10% of the total order price (whichever is greater) on all refunded orders. We may charge a $50 processing fee on all exchanges. If a refund is requested, we reserve the right to find an acceptable replacement or refund your money if an acceptable replacement is not available. Refunds, at our discretion, may be issued via APMEX store credit redeemable for future purchases in lieu of a cash refund.

On returning bullion related items, the customer may (at APMEX's discretion) be required to pay for any market loss on their returns. Any market gain on refunds shall remain the property of APMEX.

Pricing or Typographical Errors - We work hard to provide accurate product and pricing information. However, pricing or typographical errors may occur. In the event that an item is listed at an incorrect price or with incorrect information due to an error in pricing or product information, APMEX shall have the right, at our sole discretion, to refuse or cancel any orders placed for that item. If an item is incorrectly priced, we will either contact you for instructions or cancel your order and notify you of such cancellation. Prices and availability are subject to change without notice.

Additional Terms - Additional terms relating to certain products (such as prices, methods of payment, our policies with respect to returns, refunds, and cancellations and/or exchanges) may be posted on the site on the pages describing the products.

ARE THERE RISKS?

All investments involve risk - coins and bullion are no exception. The value of a bullion coin (e.g., American Eagles or Canadian Maple Leafs) is affected by many economic factors, including the current market price of bullion, the perceived scarcity of the coins and many other factors. Some of these factors include the quality, current demand and general market sentiment. Therefore, because both bullion and coins can go down as well as up in value, investing in them may not be suitable for everyone. Since all investments, including bullion and coins, can decline in value, you should understand them well, and have adequate cash reserves and disposable income before considering a bullion or coin investment.

IS GOLD, SILVER, PLATINUM OR PALLADIUM TAXABLE?

When shopping online with APMEX, you may be required to pay state and local sales tax on your purchase, depending on a few variables. Since the laws and tax rates are not consistent across the county, or in some cases even within the same state, we have created an interactive guide to help you research your state’s sales tax rules and regulations. Remember to check the state where your order will be shipped, not necessarily the state where you live.

When checking out on APMEX.com, all taxable items, and the total associated tax, will be clearly displayed once you have entered your shipping address and shipping method. If applicable, non-taxable items will also be displayed.

DO YOU REQUIRE ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FROM ME?

To help fight the funding of terrorism and money laundering activities, federal law requires Precious Metals dealers to obtain, verify and record information that identifies each person who opens an account. When you open your account, we will ask for your name, address, phone and email address. When your account reaches the pre-determined company thresholds, we may ask for additional information to verify the identity of the account holder. We may also ask to see your driver’s license or other identifying documents. APMEX reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to decline any account without any obligation to any person, if in the sole opinion of APMEX, insufficient information is provided by any such person in order to properly identify such person.

DO YOU REPORT MY PURCHASE OF PRECIOUS METALS TO THE IRS?

APMEX is not required to report our sales transactions to the IRS or any other federal, state or local agencies unless you fall under the Form 8300 requirement.

WHY AM I BEING ASKED TO VERIFY MY ORDER?

APMEX understands your privacy is important and we respect your right to privacy. Reviews are a normal process that all our accounts go through once an account reaches a fixed amount or certain criteria. The information from the review is used 100% internally within our Compliance Department only and not provided to outside sources.
